Slovak company Aliter Technologies has introduced its new B2R tactical broadband system, which is designed to create a secure and resilient network for simultaneous transmission of data, video, and voice communications via mobile ad hoc networking (MANET) techniques.

The B2R is intended for use in extreme climatic and weather conditions to support tactical command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) efforts. The system comprises the ruggedised AT23701/AT23702 internet protocol (IP) radio and the AT23801 router. The AT23701/AT23702 IP radio measures 160 x 220 x 44 mm and weighs 1.7 kg, with power drawn from a 10-32 V DC supply.
