Google to open AI research centre in France

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced[1] the company will open a new AI research centre in France. Its research team will work will the French AI community on the development of artificial intelligence technology. The code and results produced by the initiative will be open source, allowing anyone to access the data.

Pichai said Google will also expand its office in France and increase its workforce in the country by 50%.

The company will also open four local Google Hubs in the country, which will provide free training in online skills.
