Minister Naughten Not Putting Date On Broadband Connectivity To All Homes

The Communications Minister says he won’t put a date on when all homes will have broadband. Roscommon Galway TD Denis Naughten has told an Oireachtas committee that he hopes the “vast majority of the country” will be connected by 2020. Laois Sinn F?in TD Brian Stanley believes many of the half a million homes and businesses relying on the National Broadband Plan are in areas that will be difficult and costly to connect, potentially putting off bidders for the scheme.
