Back our Elissa Mae! Bramcote Today2 about the application. Even though we lost the battle to save this piece of Green Belt I would urge everyone to look at the plans and take part in the consultation which closes on January 25th. Have your say here3

Ikea / A610 roundabout a dangerous mess!

I had a very good meeting with Greasley Parish Council today. We have agreed to work together to get much needed improvements to the access to the Giltbrook Shopping Park/Ikea, which is frankly a mess, confusing and somewhat dangerous. This has been a long running problem which needs sorting out especially as Next and Ikea are set to expand. I have undertaken to set up a much needed meeting

Stapleford Training Hub

I am backing plans for a Stapleford Training Hub at Whitley Mill. It s the idea of Stapleford Borough Councillors Richard MacRae and John McGrath who brought a number of interested parties together this afternoon. We need a commitment from a local College and a considerable amount of money to convert the Mill back into training workshops for apprentices, notably in construction skills. I ve agreed to write to a number of people and organisations to rustle up support and funds!
