Broadband outage for Vodafone customers in Timaru area

Vodafone customers in the Timaru area were left without a connection on Thursday morning. Vodafone customers in and around Timaru lost their internet connections on Thursday morning. Vodafone external communications manager Elissa Downey said some of its ultra-fast broadband customers had suffered a loss of services.

Downey didn’t confirm exactly when the outage first occurred, precisely how many people were affected and in what exact areas. “We were made aware of the problem this morning and have been working to restore services since then. “We expect services will be back up and running soon and apologise to our customers for any inconvenience this may be causing.”

Downey said customers who had an eligible Vodafone mobile plan could call Vodafone to set up with a temporary mobile data plan at no extra charge to cover them until they were back up and running on their broadband internet.
