MTN Ghana Launches Broadband Services To Provide High-speed Internet Access

Ghana’s leading Telecommunications Company MTN, in a voice and data services has launched its Fibre Broadband service in Accra, to provide high-speed internet access as well as facilitate live streaming of online TV channels or Video on Demand by home and office automation, including security services, among others. Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister for Communications, Mr. George Andah said, “Broadband access has now become a critical infrastructure requirement because of its direct impact on the development of an information society in this digital age and is increasingly becoming the emphasis for unlocking and accelerating knowledge and technology based economies, as well as enabling GDP growth.

The Fibre to the Home festival launch also marked the introduction of a number of promos for both existing and new customers of MTN Ghana. With about 17 million voice subscribers, MTN Ghana has been at the forefront of innovations within the telecoms industry.

The fiber broadband service will also promote economic development and services and enhance the quality of life of Ghanaians.
