Uber to launch flying taxis by 2020

Uber has partnered with NASA to launch its Elevate flying taxi project by 2020, reported Engadget[1]. The company has signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA and will work with the space agency to manage its air traffic. Uber said it aims to launch its project in three cities by 2020 – Los Angeles, Dubai, and Dallas-Fort Worth.

The flying taxi project could drastically reduce trip times by avoiding traffic while remaining relatively inexpensive.
