TalkTalk internet RESTORED as 'technical issues' left hundreds of people without broadband
Broadband coverage from one of the UK’s major providers has been restored after major technical issues. Hundreds of TalkTalk customers reported issues, with the bulk of problems surrounding the firm’s internet services. However, TalkTalk said the issues had been resolved on Wednesday evening.
A spokesperson added: “Technical issues led to some customers experiencing disruption to their service for a limited period this afternoon. “Our engineers resolved this quickly and all services are now restored. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Independent outage tracker Down Detector received a surge of reports when TalkTalk’s service went down. The issues peaked at almost 5,700 reports from TalkTalk customers experiencing problems.

TalkTalk customers flocked to social networking site Twitter to report issues with the firm’s internet services. In the North East, @LSPowerGT from Newcastle, said on Twitter: “Oh I’m having this issue currently, nationwide from looks of it.
I must be fortunate to not have these weekly issues people have though.” Jordan Hind, from Spennymoor, said: “Thanks @TalkTalk no internet AGAIN!”
Dene King added: “Mine is down too in South Tyneside. Help line just says “too busy” & hangs up.
Where’s the “trusty twitter team” please?”
Andrew Bramwell said his router in Gateshead said was also not working.
