SES helps Guatemala's Comnet roll out enterprise broadband service

Satellite operator SES has announced a contract to provide broadband services to Guatemalan operator Comnet. Under the terms of the multi-year contract, Comnet will tap into the newly-launched SES Networks Enterprise+ Broadband for Latin America to enable the delivery of the Quantum-branded broadband service to its end customers in the agricultural, tourism and mining industries. Comnet is the first company to sign up to the Enterprise+ Broadband service, said SES, adding that it allows the operator to customise and flexibly manage connectivity for each customer.

The service is provided via the SES-10 satellite, launched in March 2017[1] to extend reliable connectivity to underserved communities throughout Latin America.

The SES-10 was the first geostationary commercial satellite to launch on a reusable SpaceX rocket.
