New undersea fibre system to connect US, India, and South Africa

Seaborn Networks and IOX Cable plan to provide the first “next-generation” subsea fibre optic route[1] between the US, India, South Africa, Mauritius, and Brazil. The cable system will provide the “most secure and reliable route between these markets”, said the companies. “The Seabras-1 + SABR + IOX System route will be available exclusively through Seaborn and IOX.”

“This alliance will reshape the global communications landscape for the southern hemisphere,” said Seaborn.
