Cat S41 launched in South Africa

The Cat S41 smartphone in now in South Africa at a recommended retail price of R7,999. The S41 is the successor to the S40, and is designed for those who work in construction, agriculture, security, and vehicle repair, or take part in outdoor activities. Its headline features are a 5,000mAh battery and rugged operational ratings.

The large battery reportedly provides users with 44 days of standby time, or up to 38 hours 3G talk time. You can also use the Cat S41 as a power bank. It also features a “beyond IP68” rating, with a waterproof rating of 60 minutes up to 2m, and MIL-STD-810G rating.

This makes it shock and drop proof, as well as salt, fog, sand, dust, dirt, vibration, and pressure resistant.
