dotAfrica domain registration – South African rand prices revealed

Domains.co.za[1] announced that it is selling standard .africa domains for R350, with an annual renewal fee of R250. Hetzner[2] has also launched registrations for .africa domains at R389 per year. This comes after the ZA Central Registry opened registrations for the .africa geographic top-level domain[3] to the public.

The public sale phase follows the sunrise phase, where registered trademark owners were allowed to apply for domain names.

This was followed by a landrush phase, which let brand owners, businesses, and the general public register premium .africa domains for a higher price than the standard fee charged by Domains.co.za and Hetzner.
