Twitter hit by global downtime

Twitter has been hit by an outage which caused intermittent downtime for the social network service. Many users reported an error screen when they tried to load the service. Others stated that they saw their Twitter timelines, but couldn’t receive new tweets and were unable to post tweets.

Twitter acknowledged the issue on its support account and said it is working on a fix.

Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter & Tweeting.

We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.
