Sick of slow downloads, bad customer service and poor-value contracts? Maybe it’s time to consider a broadband company you have never heard of. As the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) criticises the UK’s biggest internet service providers over its misleading adverts, up-and-coming companies are encouraging customers to switch.
“Like the energy market, people assume that there are only a handful of broadband providers available to them,” says Tom Lewis of the comparison site Go Compare. “In reality there are a plethora of small challenger companies, with competitive deals that are often significantly cheaper.”
