Five things to know about John Lewis Broadband
Think John Lewis is just a department store? Think again. John Lewis sells fast, reliable broadband, too.
Here’s the top five things you need to know about John Lewis Broadband.
1. Plusnet provides John Lewis Broadband
John Lewis decided to venture into broadband in 2012. Since customer service is integral to the John Lewis brand, it’s no wonder they chose to partner with Plusnet.
Plusnet has a strong reputation for providing excellent customer service. The provider has won the uSwitch award for Best Provider Customer Service for four years running now.
2. It comes with a powerful router
All John Lewis Broadband packages include a ZyXEL router that runs on wireless AC standards.
The ZyXEL router has four Ethernet ports, two USB ports and is capable of providing data rates up to 1.3Gbps.
3. John Lewis Broadband offers competitive speeds
John Lewis Broadband has the same standard three speeds as most providers on the Openreach network: 17Mbps ADSL, 38Mbps fibre and a faster 76Mbps fibre option. All packages come with unlimited downloads, too, so you can make the most of these speeds.
And if you don’t get those speeds, it’s easy to cancel
As per John Lewis Broadband’s terms, if you have a speed problem within the first three months of service and they can’t fix it, you’re able to cancel your contract early, penalty-free. There are a few restrictions, of course: For example, the fault must have been raised within the first 70 days of service, and your speed must be at least 1Mbps below the provided estimate. But this is still more lenient than most other providers.
You get some nice extras
