Aylesbury Vale Broadband plans to offer 1Gbps FTTH service

UK regional fibre broadband venture Aylesbury Vale Broadband (AVB), a JV supported by Aylesbury Vale District Council, plans to increase the maximum speed available over its FTTH network to 1 Gbps by December, according to a notification document published by Ofcom. AVB is deploying fibre services in several villages, offering broadband speeds between 30 Mbps and 300 Mbps. Its network currently passes approximately 2,000 homes.
