JT scraps broadband deal after CICRA findings

Broadband provider JT has decided to scrap its three-month ‘sweetener’ offers on broadband, after it was ordered to level to playing field for competitors. In June, the Channel Islands competition watchdog, CICRA, found that the company’s prices were making it difficult for rivals to attract customers1. The regulator said JT was overcharging broadband providers for access to the Jersey network, and ordered it to either lower the charge or adjust consumer prices to make it fairer.
