Pembrokeshire broadband talks
Stephen Crabb MP: Raising local broadband provision concerns.
LOCAL MP Stephen Crabb has invited BT Cymru Chief Executive Ann Beynon, as well as Welsh Government representatives, to
Pembrokeshire to give local businesses the chance to raise concerns about broadband provision in the County.
The meeting will give attendees the chance to put their concerns directly to those in charge of delivering the Superfast Cymru broadband project. Ann Beynon will also be answering questions about the performance of BT in Pembrokeshire. A number of local businesses, County Councillors and representatives from local Chambers of Commerce will be attending.
Although the UK Government has provided hundreds of millions of pounds for the Superfast Cymru project, BT and Welsh Government are responsible for the roll-out across Wales.
Commenting, Stephen said: I am delighted that the Chief Executive of BT agreed to come to Pembrokeshire to listen to the concerns of local businesses.
If we want to revitalise the local economy, then people and businesses in Pembrokeshire need access to high quality broadband.
Broadband is one of the most pressing issues raised with me by local businesses and constituents alike.
I am keen to do everything I can to make BT and Welsh Government aware of the issues in our county and I hope this meeting will make it clear to them exactly what is expected by Pembrokeshire people.
