Appeal lodged over Ascog wind turbines

The owner of Ascog Farm on Bute has lodged an appeal against the refusal of a planning application for three wind turbines on his land.

Adrian Tear s challenge to the decision was received by the Scottish Government s department for planning and environmental appeals on Friday.

Mr Tear s application for three 74-metre turbines was turned down by Argyll and Bute Council s planning, protective services and licensing committee (PPSL) in May on the grounds that the turbines would have an unacceptable visual impact.

The proposals attracted more than six hundred comments from members of the public, the vast majority of them objecting.
