Accounting Office Software acquired by du Pr Group
Berkshire-based IT firm will add Accounting Office products to its education software offering
Business communications and IT firm du Pr group today announced it has completed the purchase of Scottish accountancy software company Accounting Office, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2002, West Glamorgan-based Accountancy Office is best known for its flagship business management and accountancy software My.N. The acquisition was made with a view to adding My.N s functionality to du Pr subsidiary Double First s range of accounting products for schools and educational establishments. Outgoing Accounting Office owner Ian Richards will be retained by the new owners in a consultative capacity as part of the deal.
Barry Anns, du Pre chairman and managing director, said: Accounting Office is a perfect fit within our growing organisation. We have experience of applying My.N into the education market as a reseller and we will now work to more closely integrate this application with our market leading Engage management information system. Ian Richards, outgoing owner of Accounting Office, added: The development of Accounting Office software and My.N over the past decade has taken the company to the point where it offers very versatile options for the management of business information in many markets.
Now is the right time for it to be acquired by a larger organisation that has the necessary expertise and resources to generate future growth and success.
After careful consideration I selected the du Pr Group due to the proven capabilities and obvious synergies that it offers.
